If you follow me for a while, you might be know that I am a devoted fan of BLP Beauty, which I consider one of the best Indonesian local beauty brand for the past couple of years. I love the branding, packaging, and the most important: the actual products! I think I’ve tried almost of their products, except the eyebrow products, maybe. I repurchased two of my favorite shades of Lip Coat, and they released lip tint and their eyeliner in early 2018 if I’m not mistaken. They also launched their powder, but I will review it in the separate post, okay! 🙂
BLP Beauty Lip Coat
As you might already know, I freaking love their Lip Coat. Their Lip Coat is my go-to liquid lipsticks ever since day-1. I repurchased their Burnt Cinnamon and Butter Fudge which I already finished because I use it religiously for the past years because I just love the combination! Though I love the texture so much, I think the Burnt Cinnamon is relatively lighter than the original shade. I prefer the old shade of the Burnt Cinnamon, but I still love the new one, though.
BLP Beauty Lip Stain
I think this lip tint is way better than most of Korean Roadshop lip tint that I’ve tried. While most of lip tint dries up my lips, this BLP Beauty Lip Stain reminds me of Banila Co Lip Tint that I’ve loved in the past. However, since I have pigmented upper lips, most of lip tint wouldn’t work out for my upper lip unless I use concealer/foundation on my lips first, I still prefer the Lip Coat for the sake of practicality, lol. But overall, really, really good lip tint and pretty affordable price, too!
BLP Beauty Matte Liner – Pitch Black
As a devoted user of eyeliner ever since 2012, of course, when I heard that BLP Beauty launched their own liquid eyeliner, I just had to purchase it right away, lol. Lizzie Parra, the founder and CEO of BLP Beauty also known for her winged eyeliner and apparently I always like any of the liquid eyeliner that she used, for example, the Maybelline and K-Palette, so I know that I could trust her creation.
It has spongy, yet flexible brush (Lol, God knows, how much I hate stiff eyeliner brush), and it’s very, very pigmented and jet black! Upon first application, I just know that I really love how it applies on my eyelids. It glides smoothly and very easy to achieve neat eyeliner. However, it turned out that it didn’t last long on my lids. I have oily lids to begin with, though. But even after I apply it with eye primer, eye shadow, and locked it with translucent powder, but it still didn’t last long on my lids. *Sigh* I think the longetivity of this product is pretty much hit and miss, since there’s a lot of people who found it last the entire day, and there’s also a lot of people who found it didn’t last really long. So… maybe YMMV?
(L-R: Matte Liner, Eyeshadow Pen, Lip Stain, Lip Coat in Maple Waffle, Butter Fudge, Burnt Cinnamon, and Ginger Bread)
So, overall, though I still found that most of BLP Beauty new releases have their own weakness, still, in terms of texture, overall experience and finish, they are still the best in the local beauty industry or even I think they are much better than most of the western/Asian products that I’ve tried! Well done, BLP Beauty! Looking forward to other inventions from you guys in 2019!
