If there’s any affordable priced skin care that I trust, most likely it would be Japanese brand. Probably because of the cheap stuff from my home country often sold gimmicky and questionable cheap skin care that contain a lot of toxic and questionable ingredients (though not all, I still trust Paragon Group and Mustika Ratu products). But the point is, I believe that even affordable skin care in Japan like Hada Labo and Sana Nameraka went through a lot of research and well developed. And it’s proven that a lot of their products works pretty well for my skin.
And so, after trying its eye cream and facial foam, I finally tried this Sana Nameraka Honpo Skin Lotion that I found in Loft Bangkok! I expected it to be similar with Hada Labo Gokyujun Lotion, which is basically a hydrating toner that we use after exfoliating toner/serum.
Soft and supple skin Soymilk skin lotion with moisturizing effect. Hydrates skin without greasy feeling and helps skin smooth.
This hydrating toner is one of those basic hydrating toners that would be easily loved by everyone. It’s almost unscented, colourless, light, and easily absorbed into the skin. This hydrating toner also those kinds that would be easy to be incorporated into your routine. My guess is pretty much true, this toner is pretty much similar to Hada Labo Gokyujun Lotion. The ones that make it slightly different perhaps in terms of formulation. Sana Nameraka Honpo is known for their fermented soymilk extract if I’m not mistaken, so if you have an allergy towards soy or fermented products, you might want to put it into considerations.
It works really well at building hydration into my skin. I could also see that people would love it for 7 skin steps as it’s light and not heavy and greasy at all. However, since this product is pretty basic, I think this product is replaceable in my routine. I could always replace it with other hydrating toners and I don’t notice much difference afterwards. Nevertheless, it is a really decent product for beginners. It’s affordable, and it lasted be around 4-5months. You could also use it for CSM if you want since the texture is really watery.
Would I repurchase it? Probably no, because it’s hard to find it in Jakarta. But if I live in Japan, I could see myself repurchasing this product in turn with Hada Labo Gokyujun Lotion as it’s affordable and lasted me quite a long time. Therefore, I would recommend this product if you can easily find it in your city. I noticed that Singapore and Bangkok already sold it, with higher markups than in Japan, though, but still I personally think that this Sana Nameraka Honpo Skin Lotion is worth to try.
