If there are any makeup products that made me want to buy again and again, but it seems like impossible to finish, for me it would be lipsticks and blushes. Especially blush., because I’ve never finished any blushes in my life so far, like, ever! 😆 Which is why I never purchased any new blush for the last couple of years. I think the last blush that I’ve purchased is either the Nars Sex Appeal or Benefit Dandelion. Even if I used them both every day, somehow they haven’t hit pan until today, lol.
However, because of the recent liquid blush trend, I finally lifted up my no-blush-buys ban and decided to buy one of the most affordable liquid blush in the market (and probably the first ones to be released), which is this Majolica Majorca Cream de Cheek Liquid Blush.
Majolica Majorca. Probably one of my favourite Japanese drugstore brand ever since my friend introduced me to this brand. The packaging is super cute, it’s like the escalated version of Etude House. And I actually really like a couple of products from them, such as the Lash Expander Mascara and the Eyebrow Pencil and Powder. Their mascara and Heroine Make’s mascara are probably holding holy grail status for me right now.
So, what about this liquid blush? Honestly, as far as I’ve known this brand back in 2012, I realised that they already carry this specific liquid blush on their collection back then. And I noticed that most Japanese beauty brands always have the liquid blush in their collection. Therefore, even if it becomes the current trend ever since Glossier comes out with the Cloud Paint and Nars with its Liquid Blush, I think it’s practically not a new thing in Asian beauty scene.
The texture of this liquid blush is very liquidy and sheer. It’s pretty easy to control it as it will blend pretty sheer into the skin. It sets nicely into the skin, natural and gives a little bit dewy finish. Though I’ve got to be honest that if I had a chance to rewind the time, I would not purchase this colour because I’ve just realised that orange blushes didn’t compliment my skin really well. Perhaps I should purchase a regular pink colour instead…
But other than colour selection, I have to say that I’m pretty pleased with this blush. It’s perfect for everyday natural look, the packaging is really cute and sturdy for the price, and a little goes a long way. Will I repurchase another colour? Ugh, no, probably because I still want to try NARS Liquid Blush, lol. But! I will highly recommend you guys to try this liquid blush especially if you’re looking for affordable drugstore liquid blush!
