[WEDNESDAY MASKING] Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

IMG_8545

It’s been a while ever since I talked about different kind of mask other than sheet mask in the Wednesday Masking. Well, I do have much more sheet mask rather than other types of mask, and it’s easier to judge sheet mask since we need to use the traditional type of mask more than 3-5 times to see if it gives us any result. Well, yeah, this time around I will talk about one of the cult favorite honey masks in the market (perhaps before Farmacy Honey Potion Mask and I’m From Honey Mask come into the scene), the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask.

My very first impression of this mask was rather bad… Its scent reminds me a lot of Asian curry dish. It feels really weird to put it into your skin. Nevertheless, after a couple times of usage, I’m finally getting used to it and in fact — enjoying it. Actually, other than the scent, this mask is very pleasant to be put on the skin. The texture is very, very smooth and very easy to spread, and if you have dehydrated skin and dislike clay mask, I think you would like this mask, a lot.

It will leave your skin supple, plump, and while I didn’t really see a significant effect on that department, it would help to make your skin less troubled from blemishes. One thing for sure, though, this mask would help your skin to restore its moisturization and hydration level because of the manuka honey ingredients. In a different way from sheet mask and sleeping mask of course, but if you use it in conjunction with each other, I’m sure that your skin would restore its hydration level in no time.

For a honey mask, the texture of this mask is very, very pleasant. Because I know that there’s a lot of honey mask that’s really a hassle to put into your skin because the texture is rather sticky and hard to spread. So, I’m sure that there’s a lot of people that would love it because of its effectiveness and it’s pretty much fuss-free.

Would I recommend it? Of course! No wonder so many people love this mask. It just works effectively and it’s pretty much hassle-free because of the very-easy-to-spread texture. I highly recommend it to anyone that has dehydrated skin and/or anyone that love moisturizing mask. I also love that it comes with tube form, so you don’t need to worry about the germs and all because it wouldn’t be in contact with open air and with your hands directly.
