[REVIEW] Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette

IMG_8358

So, there’s a funny story when I want to get this specific palette. I’ve been eyeing this palette even before I went to Australia. I knew that it will be launched in Sephora Australia by the time I already in Sydney. Therefore, during the launching day (yeah, I know, I checked it on their Instagram regularly, lol), I run to the nearest Sephora and sadly, there is no Soft Glam yet. But because I still need a palette, I purchased the Tartelette in Bloom one (which I love, don’t get me wrong).

However, a week after that, during my last day in Sydney, I went to Sephora because my friend wanted to purchase Fenty Beauty and I spotted the Soft Glam Palette!!!!! I took the palette immediately and run to the cashier but sadly, the Sephora declined my non-visa card. 😥 Therefore, at 7pm, when I was back to the hotel, I run out (literally) to the nearest ATM and went out to the same Sephora again, and guess what, it was closed. 🙂

Worry not, because my mind simply can’t stop thinking about this pretty palette (yes, I’ve swatched it out), I ended up purchasing it through online reseller here in Indonesia. Lol. Such dedication right? This palette better be that good, I thought when I finally got it. Because I literally went through a lot of things in order to get it! 😆

Well…. now into the review of the palette itself! Let’s get it started!

First and foremost, can we appreciate how pretty the shades here??? I rarely found that glitters and sparkles flattering, but these shades, Oh My God. How come they are happened to be this pretty??? I’m a convert, my friend. Thanks to this palette, I am now all about glitters and sparkles.

What I love about this palette is the fact that ABH actually think of the portion of matte shades and shimmer shades that regular people will use. You know, not everyone could pull off a palette that has the majority of shimmer shades like, Naked Palette 1-3 and perhaps Fenty Beauty’s eyeshadow palette. We’re not all an expert in eye look, dear brands. And not everyone would want to wear them for daily look.

And, the pigmentation of this palette is ah-ma-zing! You might want to be a little light handed because this palette is crazy pigmented except the orange soda one that went a wee bit patchy. But I use it as eyeshadow base colour anyway, so I didn’t found it to be bothersome. However, because it is crazy pigmented, the downside of it is the fact that all the shadows very powdery and have a lot of kickback and fall out. I personally didn’t mind since I’ve always tap off the excess eyeshadow powder before applying it into my eyes.

This eyeshadow also very buttery and very easy to blend. I’m not an expert in eyeshadow myself, so when I found that this eyeshadow blends like a dream, I would recommend it to everyone that asked me for eyeshadow palette suggestion. Maybe you could see from the way I abused it, my favorite colour from the palette is the Sultry one. It’s a satin metallic finish eyeshadow that’s an excellent topper for rose toned eye look. Love it very much!!!

Will I recommend this eyeshadow to everyone? Of course, definitely without a doubt! This eyeshadow palette is the perfect neutral palette if you want to invest in a good quality eyeshadow palette that you’ve got to use for the daily look, date night, and also for that special event! It’s also come with a double-ended brush and high-quality mirror. So you can definitely use it for traveling. Don’t forget that pretty suede packaging! Super pretty and chic!
