I know it’s a bit late since I always post empties report by the end of each month, however since it’s Eid Mubarak Holiday (Happy Eid Mubarak anyway, everyone!) and all, I got a little bit all over the place hence the reason why I post this late, sorry! Nevertheless, here is my May 2018 empties report!
1. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask [Lavender]
I’ve loved this one and the original one really, really well. It’s a clear skin saviour whenever I feel like my skin is dull and ‘lost’ something. Now that I’m clearly missing something in my routine ever since I’ve finish this one, I would probably repurchase it again. I prefer the original’s scent though, so if in near future Laneige won’t coming out with new scents of the Water Sleeping Mask, it’s more likely for me to repurchase the original one.
2. Bifesta Sensitive Cleansing Lotion
Not my preferable cleansing water. It works just fine, but I couldn’t stand the fact that it stings on my eyes. It won’t remove waterproof makeup really well, either. So… apart of the pretty packaging, I don’t think that I want to repurchase this one.
3. Wardah White Secret Pure Treatment Essence
This one, though, I have mixed feelings when I’m done with it. So here’s the thing. At first I found it to be really wonderful. However, after I read other skin care guru’s review about it, I’m having second thought, and I think I’m pretty agree with their opinions. This product, even though it works wonderful on my skin, I think it works well as a hydrating toner, not as a facial treatment essence. Probably the sole reason why I prefer this to the SK-II FTE because the FTE was barely did anything to my skin, lol, even this Wardah one is way more hydrating to my skin! Nevertheless, I think I would repurchase it in the future, but for hydration purpose, not for FTE purpose.
4. Suisai Beauty Clear Powder
It’s the product that took me the longest time to finish from my Japan Haul nearly 2 years ago, lol! I don’t think that they expired easily since they repackaged individually so I hope they didn’t have negative effect on my skin, though?? Well as for now, I’m glad that my skin never broke out whenever I use this product, lol. However, I think by now I realized that Japanese powder cleanser is not the one for me. I found it to be really drying for my dry dehydrated skin, both this one and the Fancl one. So, sadly, I won’t repurchase it.
5. Hada Labo Hydrating UV Perfect Gel Moisturiser SPF50+ PA++++
Love this one! Reviewed this one and the Hydrating Perfect Gel in separate post, and I’ve got to say that so far, Hada Labo never fails me. However, as for now I don’t know if it’s a moisturizer with SPF or it’s just SPF, so until I know specifically what is it (perhaps until it’s ready in Indonesia, or by the time when I found the English translation), I don’t think that I would repurchase it in near future. So hopefully I would find the proper translation since I quite like it!
6. Hada Labo Hydrating Perfect Gel
I honestly prefer the Perfect 3D Gel rather than this one. I found that this is too mediocre and ‘just’ moisturizer. Nevertheless, it’s Hada Labo, so it works just fine on me as moisturizer and hydrator. If you need basic moisturizer, well, then this is it! However, if you want something interesting, with interesting texture, or anything, I don’t think that this will answer your needs. Well, in the end it’s a decent moisturizer, but I don’t think that I would repurchase it.
7. Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner
One of the most gentle exfoliating toner in the market. For an exfoliating toner, this product is really hydrating. Well, as you might know, South Korea didn’t allow cosmetic products to have more than 0.5% BHA on it, so it won’t work well if you need the same strength of acids like in western exfoliating products like say, Pixi Glow Tonic or Sunday Riley Good Genes. Nevertheless, if you are new to acids and/or have dehydrated or sensitized skin, I highly, highly recommend you to try this one first to prepare your skin for stronger acids in the future.
8. Glossier Coconut Balm Dotcom
The most talked about lip balm from the millenial brand. Well, I have nothing bad to say about this lip balm, though. Well, maybe, except the fact that the coconut scent is just way too artificial I just can’t. However, in terms of moisturizing properties, this is really good, probably on par with the famous Nuxe Rêve de Miel. I also love the fact that it comes with tube packaging since it’s travel friendly. However, I don’t think that I would repurchase it since I found that Lanolips is not only cheaper, but also works way better than this one.
9. Lush Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask
I have this love-hate relationship with Lush. I love to whiff the scent of their products whenever I come by their store, I love their concepts, everything. But a couple of their products are just a hits or misses on me. If I happened to like their products, I hate the fact that I have to finish it really quickly as its only stay fresh for a month or so, ugh. Nevertheless, this is a pretty good clay mask. First, it’s pink! It’s also smells really nice, and pretty hydrating for a clay mask. It leaves my skin plump and fresh whenever I use it. Would repurchase it if I can stand the hassle of finishing their products in the future, though, lol. Maybe, someday.
10. Flow Fushi Mote Mascara Repair Brown
Love this one to bits! It’s not only lengthen and curl my lashes really well, but it’s also easy to remove, which I really, really like! It’s also comes with sleek packaging (Oh, I just love Flow Fushi overall branding concept, though!). Would definitely purchase this one in different variations.
11. Espoir Pro Tailor Liquid Foundation EX SPF 25+++
It is said to be the dupe to Lancome Teint Miracle. Haven’t try the Lancome one, though, but I’ve got to say that this is one of my favorite foundation ever! It is dewy, but won’t make your skin way too dewy or oily in the middle of the day, have decent coverage, and the staying power is really good, I would say. Now Espoir coming up with the new range of the Pro Tailor Liquid Foundation, though, so I’m pretty curious on the newest one.
12. The Saem Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water
Will definitely review it in near future, however as for now I have to say that this is a pretty decent cleansing water. It didn’t irritate my skin and never stings on my eyes, but just like most cleansing water, it won’t remove your waterproof makeup, which is quite a hassle to me since I love to use waterproof eyeliner and mascara. However, since it’s pretty affordable, there’s a chance that I would repurchase it in the future, though.
Well, yeah, that’s all from my May 2018 empties report. Do you spot any favorites here? Or do you have anything to recommend to me? Please don’t be hesitate to tell me in the comment section bellow! 😉
