2018 Haul #1: Australia Trip

Finally, it’s the long awaited Australia Haul post! It’s been more than a month since I’m back from Sydney, and here I am: ready to post while I already use a few products from this list, lol!!! Well… better late than never, right? 😉 So here it is, my haul from my last trip to Sydney and Brisbane last month!

1.OPI Infinite Shine No Light Gel-Lacquer

It’s been my longest dream since I was in High School to purchase OPI nail polish but unfortunately the steep price always made me taken aback. So, fast forward to 2018, where I don’t care much about nail polish since it was my late mother that was always purchasing nail polish — that until I saw that Brisbane DFO sold this OPI Infinite Shine No Light Gel-Lacquer Set only for $14.50 when its real price is $45.90. It was no brainer that I took it rightaway and bring it to the cashier, lol.

2. Trilogy No. 15 Limited Edition Beauty Oil

This particular oil was made exclusively for Trilogy’s 15th Anniversary. This stuff is supposedly limited edition, but I heard that a lot of people love it so much that they decided to restocked it again, and again, and I practically see this product everywhere in Australia, lol. Who knows? Maybe they will make it permanent. I honestly have high expectation towards this product, though, since the original Rosehip Oil from Trilogy is always been a game changer and a favorite of mine. Hopefully it will do good to my skin!!

3. Lanolips The Original 101 Ointment

The famous lipbalm that made this Australia brand famous. They carry lots of other kinds of the lipbalm, but I decided to purchase the original one because I want to see if the original one deliver my expectation. And boy, oh, boy, again, Australian brands keep impressed me. This is probably one of the best lip balm that I’ve ever tried. I have super dry and chapped lips, which is why I needed to carry lip balm wherever I’m going. And this one, though not keep my lips moisturized all day, at least it works better than other lip balm that I’ve ever tried. Yes, even better than NUXE Rêve de Miel and Glossier. At least I don’t have to touch up my lipbalm until in the middle of the day with this bad boy.

4. Lano Lanolin Allover Golden Dry Skin Salve for Extreme Hydration

Last purchase from the Brisbane DFO. Me and Kak Gemala, fellow skin care enthusiast friend of mine already eyeing this famous Australian brand, which is Lanolips before our trip. Knowing that the DFO sold their Allover Cream for half the price the original one (We bought it for $14.50!), of course we need to purchased it rightaway, lol. (Wow, how impulsive I am, I know right, pardon me)

5. Goodness Every Week Face Scrub

The free stuff that we got if we purchase 2 full size Goodness products! I rarely use physical scrub these days, though, so it would be interesting to try new physical scrubs as it could be refreshing. Should that it won’t work on my face, I could use it as body scrub anytime, lol! Will update about my experience with this face scrub soon! 🙂

So, next on the list I purchased Grown Alchemist Set which consist full size of:

6. Grown Alchemist Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser

I honestly didn’t expect much from the set, therefore, when I was trying this product, I was practically surprised by how good this is!!! This cleanser is a second cleanser, with that vintage toothpaste packaging, just like Aesop; though I kinda expect this to be first cleanser since it was come with cream consistency and didn’t bubble. But boy, oh boy, did this cleanser impressed me that much. Will talk about it more in separate post for sure!

7. Grown Alchemist Antioxidant+Facial Oil

Another product that blown me away by how well made Grown Alchemist products are. Seriously, even to the Trilogy Certified Rosehip Oil that I loved so dearly, this oil definitely superior to the other oils that I’ve ever tried! This oil is very beautifully made, crazy hydrating, with lush experience whenever I use it, (I love every Grown Alchemist’s facial skin care scent, very spa like!) and gives my skin way more benefits than what I could expect. Same with the cleanser, I will surely write dedicated post to this oil!

8. Grown Alchemist Detox Serum

9. Grown Alchemist Hydra-Repair Day Cream

Haven’t try them yet because I still have a couple of opened serum and day cream in my vanity, but I don’t know, because the former two products from Grown Alchemist work really well on my skin, I kinda expect that they would do the same, or at least better than my other products, lol!

10. Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum

Now into my Mecca Maxxima purchases, which consist so many things that I’ve been eyeing for soooo long! *Giggles. Of course. My first purchase would be the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum. After trying out the minis and found it to be oxidized, I promise to myself that I have to try it again, buy it as fresh as possible from the authorized reseller overseas. Thank God, ladies and gentlemen, my hard work and patience are paid for, because this serum is just so, so good. I have no regret on making efforts for this serum. More on this serum later, fellas! 😉

11. Goodness Every Evening Cream

Since I’m running out of my night cream and pretty bored of my Hada Labo creams, I want to venture more and try this cream. When I was testing out the texture in the store, I was interested because the result in the back of my hand is velvety, and the texture is different to the gel-like texture that I was usually fond of. I already used up about one third of the jar from this product, and my first impression with this product is: I didn’t expect that this cream is pretty occlusive! It’s pretty thick in texture, and I don’t know if people with oilier skin types than me would love this or not. But so far, so good, I don’t have any negative response with this product, tho. Will update you in full review!

12. Youth to the People Superfood Youth Duo Mini

Now into my Sephora purchase! Surprisingly, despite my multiple trips to Sephora AU, I only managed to purchase a couple of stuff. Maybe because David Jones and Mecca Maxxima carry lots of more interesting stuff for me, lol. This Youth to the People product, though! I didn’t expect that Sephora AU would carry this, especially in minis!! Since they have very, very steep price, I think it’s a good deal that I got a chance to try their Kale + Green Tea Spinach Vitamins Age Prevention Cleanser and Kale + Spinach Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Cream.

13. La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo (+)

Since I was running out of my night cream during my first weeks on Brisbane, I was panicking and searching for “save” substitute for my skin. As I’ve said on my travel beauty tips, I don’t want to gamble and use something new during my trip to avoid unwanted breakouts, therefore I purchased something that I already know will work out for my skin, hence the reason why I bought this La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo (+). There was 1+1 promotion, so me and my friend buy it and we got it for like $20 each, if I’m not mistaken.

14. Tartelette in Bloom

Since I hit pan on most shadows from my previous palette, the well beloved Lorac Pro Matte, I purchased this one because this is the only one available in Sephora AU from my palette wishlist. I’ve been eyeing Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam that unfortunately available the next couple days after I was purchasing this *sigh. Ended up purchasing it, though, lol, more on that later. Okay, focus on this palette. This Tartelette in Bloom is honestly really, really beautiful. Beautiful in colour selection, you can definitely use it for any occasion; beautiful in packaging, and really beautiful in formulation! Will talk more about this in separate post! 🙂

15. Grown Alchemist Hand Cream

Another product from Grown Alchemist. I initially only want to purchased this one. But because Kak Gemala keep telling me that it was such a good deal to get the previous set, I decided to get the previous set as well, lol #guilty #butnoregret. Sooo, this hand cream was also on discount in David Jones, just like the Grown Alchemist set and the Lanolips. I got this one for $14.99 when it was originally $24.95, lol. Such a good deal, right?

16. The Ordinary Buffet Multi-Technology Peptide Serum

Lol, sorry for breaking my own promise to not purchase anything from DECIEM in near future. But I just can’t resist how they were really affordable in Australia. This highly raved serum was around $18 if I’m not mistaken, and I was really curious to try one, so into the basket it is, lol!!! This was my only purchase from the The Ordinary, though it’s definitely not my last one from DECIEM, lol!! ;-P

17. Clarins Double Serum

Got it for half the price of the original price in Brisbane DFO. I honestly way more curious with Clarins’ Oil, however, since this is the product that I’ve encountered with massive discount, and I particularly know that it’s Clarins, y’all, it would worth more than $100 in Indonesia, I instantly grab it and put it into my shopping bag, lol. Haven’t use it yet, but apparently it’s one of the most best selling product from Clarins, so hopefully it would work well on me!

18. MegRhythm Lavender-sage Scent Steam Eye Mask

My long lost love from Tokyo drugstore years ago! This is one of my HG products whenever I need escape time from tiring life. I initially bought this because I need smaller change, therefore I purchase this in random Asian market, lol! Glad that it’s already available in Singapore too, though! So it won’t be such a hassle to repurchase it since I could ask my friends if they will be going to Singapore! 🙂

19. Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask

I honestly really want to purchase The Apostle Skin-Brightening from Antipodes, however I didn’t realize that the price was quite high. Since I want to purchase another serum from another brand, I decided to buy another stuff that I’m really curious to try from Antipodes, which is their Aura Manuka Honey Mask. I’ve use it 4-5 times already, and I have to say that I have mixed feelings towards this mask… Well, just wait for my full review of this particular product, okay? 😉

20. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Diffused Light

The stuff that I’ve eyeing for the last 2 years. And no regrets, though, because this powder is just very, very beautiful! Especially if you dislike matte finish and more into the dewy makeup and healthy skin glow, well, then, ladies, invest on this beautiful powder! I practically use this powder almost everyday since I got it, very, very beautiful, indeed! Well… do I bore you if I say that I will talk about this powder in separate post again? Lol, sorry, but that’s how much I love this powder! 🙂

21. Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

22. Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

I purchase two minis of highly raved primer that I’ve been curious to try, the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. I’ve never been a fan of mattifying primer, so of course I’m looking forward to trying both of them!

NIOD Set No.1, which consist:

23. NIOD Low-Viscosity Cleaning Ester

24. NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate

25. NIOD Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex

26. NIOD Photography Fluid, Opacity 12%

This set consist lots of products that I’m dying to try from NIOD, especially the Photography Fluid and MMHC. Too bad that they don’t have CAIS on the set, though, especially when I can’t afford to purchase full size of CAIS because it’s just. So. Damn. Expensive. *Cries*

I’ve tried a couple of products from the set, but I still haven’t make up my mind because I still have mixed feelings towards them. Will write detailed review from the set later, though, promise!

27. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil in Travel Size (15ml)

This stuff is just so expensive, you guys. Therefore being the cheapskate that I am, I have to purchase it in minis / travel size because I can’t afford to purchase their full size, lol. Out of curiosity, of course I have to try the original Marula Oil formulator, which is the Drunk Elephant! Haven’t try it yet because I still have a couple of oils in my vanity, but I really looking forward to try it!

28. Goodness Break-Up Make-Up Balm

So the same store where I bought the OPI Nail Polish also carry Goodness with them. I’m not surprised, though, since Goodness is New Zealand owned brand. Goodness, personally for me is a hit and miss brand. Their highly raved Chia Seed Oil was a bit meh on me, thought I have to tell you it’s not by all any means bad. However, it’s just didn’t reach my expectation. Nevertheless, the store give out free Every Week Face Scrub if we purchase 2 full size Goodness product, therefore I choose this one as my first product because I’ve never tried cleansing balm that couldn’t be dissolved with water yet. Will I love it? Or not? We’ll see!

29. NIOD Sanskirt Saponis

Initially I only want to purchase this cleanser from NIOD, lol, but God showed me His way into DECIEM’s Sydney Flagship Store, therefore I just have to purchase the set also, lol #somuchexcuses. 😆 At first I have mixed feelings towards this product. It shares similar packaging to Grown Alchemist, though I can’t point out how I feeling about it from the first couple of usage. However, now I think I can tell you how I feel about it in separate post 😉 Please stay tune, will you guys? Hehe.

Sooooo, you guys! That’s it from my long awaited Australia Haul! Do you spot any favorites here? Or have you try anything from the list before? Please do share on the comment section bellow! 😉
