Februaryth’s Top Picks: Hydrating Toner

I honestly think that hydrating toner is one of my life-changing products, the thing that significantly made improvement to my dehydrated skin that acted out really badly back then. While I don’t recommend any skin care newbie to try facial oil right away ( I personally think that you should have solid basic skin care routine first before trying out one ) ; hydrating toner is something that everyone’s should have in their routine from day one.

Remember the 7-skin method craze last year? Yeah, the one and only product that being used for that method is hydrating toner. This particular product is just so much needed in everyone’s routine. So, along with this post, I will share to you my favorite hydrating toner, that works really well on my dehydrated, dry, and sensitive skin. Most of these products are unscented and colourless, since I dislike fragranced and perfumey hydrating toner. So, let’s jump right in!

1. Menard Tsukika Lotion Moist

Hands down, the best hydrating toner for my dehydrated skin that I’ve ever tried.  At first, I discovered this because I was curious with Menard, and I desperately need to find a much affordable option to SK-II Clear Lotion. And it was instant love!! This stuff definitely help to restore my skin’s hydration and it last quite a while for the price. I’ve tried a much more expensive hydrating toner from Menard, and I have to say, this one work just as good for hydrating your skin. After repurchasing this one for more than 5 times, I even forget how I feel about the SK-II Clear Lotion, lol.

2. Hada Labo Gokyujun Lotion

Oh, the classics. I love both the rich version and the light one equally. This is the first product that come up in my mind whenever anyone ask me, “I want to have proper skin care steps, which product that should I try first?”. Though, this product didn’t work out really well with one of my friend (see, each person would have different experience towards a product), my other friends that I recommend to use this product love it so much, hence the reason why I keep recommending it to everyone. It’s just work really well and really affordable, what’s not to love?

3. Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

This one, though, seems like a lot of people have mixed opinions regarding this product. A lot of people love it so much, while also lots of people, including the Liah Yoo. They said that this product barely works on them, even made their skin even more dehydrated. Well, I have to say that for me, this works pretty similar to the Hada Labo Gokyujun Premium, though I can’t say that it works the same since I always use multiple hydrating toner at once, but I have to say that it does its job. And it’s pretty affordable. Plus, it lasted a loooooong time. Mine haven’t running out yet since I was purchasing this last October.

4. Hada Labo Gokyujun Premium Lotion

Probably one of my favorite purchase from Japan 2 years ago. This hydrating toner is the bomb for dry and dehydrated skin. It would instantly plump up your skin, the gel like texture is really, really nice and easily absorbed to the skin. If Pyunkang Yul didn’t work out for your skin, I suggest you to try this one instead since I rarely heard something bad regarding this particular hydrating toner. Plus, it’s slightly cheaper in price rather than the Pyunkang Yul one, though outside Japan, I think they will share similar price point.

Well, yeah, that’s all from my favorite hydrating toner that I’ve ever tried. I’m trying a couple of new hydrating toner these days, and I have to say though there is one that I quite like, it would probably ranked similar with the Hada Labo Gokyujun Light Lotion. Do stay tune if you curious and want to know more about my full thoughts regarding the newly purchased hydrating toner! 😉

Do you have any hydrating toner that you want to recommend to me? Please do share it in comment section bellow as I always open up to new suggestion! 😉
