[REVIEW] Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Super-Hydrating Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches

Wow. A hydrogel mask for the eyes that will instantly brightens your eyes. Well, well, if you follow me long enough, you must be know that I’m quit

e skeptical with the term “instant brightening”, especially when it involves around brightening under eye. Therefore, I was purchasing this mask solely because I’m curious on how hydrating it is and plus! It was on a discount promo! Lol.

Say goodb-eye to puffy, tired eyes with Soap & Glory’s Puffy Eye Attack Super-Hydrating Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches, dreamy under-eye patches. With PUFFEASE technology (a tripeptide that reduces the appearance of puff) and super-naturally good ingredients including cucumber fruit juice and liquorice root extract, it’s the perfect perk-me-up for peepers! Smoothes, revitalises, brightens and moisturises while you rest and relax. It’s truly eye-mazing.

Aqua (Water), Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Ceratonia Siliqua (Locust Bean) Gum, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Powder, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Cellulose Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Disodium EDTA, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Polysorbate 20, Mica, Trideceth-6, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-5, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 42090 (Blue 4).

I highly anticipate this mask because I freaking love the hydrogel sheet mask from Soap & Glory before. Though eye patch / eye mask was really on trend a couple of years ago, I wasn’t really interested back then, and honestly, if this mask wasn’t on discount, I don’t think that I would purchase this, lol. Nevertheless, I ended up purchasing it, and let’s see if it’s really work!

This Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack Super-Hydrating Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches is really similar with the original Soap & Glory Hydrogel Mask, except this one sticks to the under eye really well, not slides away here and there during the application. It’s a plus and minus point, I must say. The downside of this stickiness is the fact that it’s pretty hard to remove, and undereye area is very delicate area, and if you aren’t careful enough, it will worsen your fine lines on the under eye area.

In terms of formulation of the essence, I certainly really hope that they would come with thicker essence since it’s targeted for undereye area. It’s not hydrating enough, and I personally think that the kind of essence like Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask would be the perfect fit for this mask!

In terms of result, well… I don’t think that this mask doing anything to my under eye area. It’s not even hydrating enough, let alone brightens it or depuff it. For girls in their teenage age to early twenties, maybe this under eyes mask would do something for them; however for people > 25, I don’t think that this mask would do anything for your under eye area. 😆

So, all in all, I think this mask just not my cup of tea. There’s a lot of good reviews in the internet, but my personal experience with this mask was just meh. Would I repurchase it? Obviously no, I would rather use Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask any day. However, again, if you are still young; up to early twenties, maybe this would work for you.
