Empties Report: March-April 2018

OK, this is bad. Life is starting get ahead of me and it’s pretty hard to catching up hence the reason why my post schedule is just worsen and worsen… Sorry! ūüė¶ Well, now that it’s been halfway through April already, I think it’s better for me to merge March and April beauty empties. I think I emptied up lots of favorites these couple of months, so… let’s get it started!

  1. The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane

Despite the recent controversies surrounding DECIEM that makes me hesitate purchase more product from them, I’ve got to be honest that my skin really loving their facial oil range. And this Plant-Derived one is definitely one of my faves amongst the 4 selection that they currently have. It’s light, transparent, almost scentless, and doing great work for my skin!

2. The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2%

I think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve always being cautious with my actives since my skin is easily over exfoliated. Therefore, it’s better for me to not finish the product past the expiration date rather than making an effort to finish it and it makes my skin break out and over exfoliated it. (Believe me, the hard work and effort to repair your skin cost much more than this product, therefore, listen to your skin first!).¬†But actually this is a pretty good product to try acids for your skin!

3. LUSH Fresh Face Mask: Rosy Cheeks

This product actually makes me realized how I hate to make an effort to finish a product really quickly because of the short expiration date. Well, actually this mask is nice, it’s really nice with less-drying clay mask effect, all of dry skinned women must’ve love this mask, especially with the pink colour. It’s just the fact that I have to finish it rather quickly within 1 month that irks me and makes me hesitant to repurchase it.

4. Huxley Secret of Sahara: Light and More Oil

This is one of the most beautiful oil that I’ve ever tried. The texture is light yet really moisturizing. Whenever I layers it, it would help to make my skin plumper and smoother. The packaging is really chic and expensive looking too. I think this oil is also newbie friendly, because it is blend oil, with no fragrance. If you want to try Huxley products, I really suggest you to try this one first!

5. Hatumogi Skin Conditioner

Finally I got to finish this one after more than a year! It’s really hard for me to finish this one because of the bottle is really huge. Even though there’s a lot of people that raved this product, I don’t find anything really special about it. Well, yes, it’s pretty moisturizing, but it’s not enough for my skin, and the effect is not really long, hence the reason why I prefer to use it for CSM.

6. Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water

One of my favorite micellar water ever! Not only cheap, but this stuff is really works! It removes makeup beautifully, it even could remove my waterproof makeup really well. Without a doubt I would repurchase this one rightaway!

7. Keana Nadeshiko Rice Mask

8. Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum

The most popular serum in K-Beauty that I don’t really get the hype. This stuff is just really basic and I don’t really find something special about it. Well, yes that it is moisturizing and all, but I honestly thing that it would work better for beginners because, again, it is really basic. If you already try various serums and skin care, I don’t think that this serum would give you anything new.

9. Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

The clay mask that everyone’s been loving. Well, this stuff is pretty good and decent. However, ever since I discover the melting version and the Lush one, I have to say that I much prefer them both. The biggest downside that I hate from this mask is the fact that it dries really really fast. Therefore, I don’t think that I would repurchase it.

10. La Roche Posay Effeclar Duo (+)

At first, I honestly don’t find anything special with this product. However, after a while, especially after I repurchase it, I found that the actives on this product is really works. I think this product also help the cystic acne that I had. It’s also quite moisturizing even though it’s not supposed to be moisturizer, and even my oily skin friend also love this product.

11. Innisfree Cotton Pad

It still is my favorite cotton pad that I could purchase locally. Well, without a doubt I would repurchase it again (in fact I already stocked it up to 3 boxes, lol!)

12. Drunk Elephant¬†B-Hydra‚ĄĘ Intensive Hydration Gel

By far, the best pre-moisturizer / hydrating serum that I’ve ever tried! It really makes my skin well hydrate and plumper whenever I use it. If you want to try something from Drunk Elephant, I highly suggest you to try this one! If only it’s not expensive, I would repurchase it.

13. Innisfree Cover Stamping Puff

The perfect dupe for beauty blender for only $7~$8. The only downside with this puff is the shape of it that makes it longer to blend. I already repurchase it, but I also heard that Innisfree already launch the teardrop shape in Korea, so hopefully it would come out in Indonesia really soon!

  1. Great post! I love the Ordinary’s exfoliating acids. Is the Lactic Acid too strong? I use acids a lot and use the 10-Min Peel once a week and I’m wondering if the Lactic Acid would be a good product to incorporate on a more regular basis
