I guess, if I asked about eyeshadow primer recommendation, the OG of all of the eyeshadow primer, the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion always comes up. I’ve tried the sample size when my mother got the Naked 2 Palette years ago, and since I have oily lids, I think that the primer potion really help to lengthen my eyeliner longevity. Therefore, after lots of pondering and confusion of getting this eyeshadow primer or the much more affordable ELF eyeshadow primer, I finally purchased this eyeshadow primer during last year’s Sephora Black Friday.

It comes with the applicator the resembles concealer applicator, which made me surprise. I thought it will come with squeeze applicator. But, well, I think it will help to dispense the product more efficient and make the application much more faster and easier, I guess. As for the product, at first I was pretty surprised because it’s not as thick as I used to remember. The texture is rather liquidy and to be honest, the first month that I use it, I don’t think that this product really help to lengthen my eye makeup.
However, when I decided not to use it after a while, I realized that this works, after all. This product really help to mattify my eye and help to make eyeshadow stick much much better, and the colour also popped up so much more with this primer. If I feel the eyeliner is not transferproof, I like to set the eyeliner with translucent product and it will stay all day!
Is it worth the price? Well…. it goes a little along the way with this product. Maybe it will lasted me for a year. However, these days, I think there’s a lot of cheaper dupes out there, and you don’t necessarily need this specific product. With a certain concealer, you even use it for eye primer. However, since my current and only concealer is very hydrating, it will worsen my oily lids, therefore I need this eye primer.
