[REVIEW] LUSH Fresh Face Mask Rosy Cheeks

Without a doubt, LUSH have a huge fans that been loving their products for years. Well, how can you not? Their store and concept as a whole always luring us, customers to visit their store whenever we went near LUSH stores. Why their stores have to be smells so heavenly??

Well that beside the point, I personally think that LUSH product were lots of hits and misses. I love their bath product, but as for their skin care range, I found them to be quite meh, despite the organic all-natural claims and how interesting their products are. However, since at 2015, the time where I experimented with LUSH’s products, my skin was on its weakest and the most sensitive side, I think it’s fair to give LUSH another chance on my skin care routines.

On my last trip to Bangkok, I bought this Rosy Cheeks Fresh Mask. I initially want to purchase hydrating mask from LUSH, but I think they didn’t carry any hydrating mask yet, since I noticed that all of their mask and fresh masks products are clay based. Therefore, even though I quite interested with BB Seaweed, since I’m pretty much trying to avoid exfoliating mask, I decided to choose something that didn’t have scrubs material and/or exfoliating properties, hence the reason why I ended up with Rosy Cheeks.

Truthfully those are not the only reason why I choose Rosy Cheeks. Look at the colour! It’s pink! Lol. Other than that, I really want to try less-drying clay mask. I heard good things about Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack, but since the price was quite up there, and I still have mixed feelings towards Glossier, hopefully this LUSH Rosy Cheeks Fresh Mask could answer my curiosity towards less-drying clay mask.

In terms of texture, I could see how this clay mask is leans towards natural side. Whenever I open the tube, there’s always a little bit oil separation from the product, something that I usually find with natural products because they are less stable than the other. The texture is a bit thick too, but still moisturizing enough for a clay mask, rather than say, Innisfree Volcanic Clay Mask. No matter how moisturizing it is, I always wash it within 15 minutes max because, it is still clay mask. It will end up drying out your skin if you let it too long in your skin.

As for the result? Well, I surprisingly like it! It leaves my skin baby soft whenever I use it on my skin. However, the downside to this product is the fact that it’s hard for me to purchase it from overseas. Because it’s only good for, cmiiw, 7 hours max outside referigerator, so it’s a hassle if I purchase it or asked my friend to purchase from a faraway country Indonesia with more than 10+ hours flight. Furthermore, since it’s a fresh mask, it will expire within one month only. So you need to use it quite fast.

Will I recommend it? Sure do. Since it’s a really good mask. It’s smells heavenly, pretty moisturizing for a clay mask, and leaves your skin baby butt soft after usage. Especially for sensitive skin, it will do nothing but good for your skin since it’s not contain any exfoliating properties. The price point is not that bad either. At around $18 (depends on where you got it), I think it’s a pretty good price for a mask.

Well, this mask definitely makes me curious again to try other LUSH products! Do you have anything to recommend to me? Please share your favorite products from LUSH in the comment section below! 😉
