For followers to the one and only Madame Huillet, they must be already know that this is one of her holy grail products for her eczema. I am blessed enough not to have eczema or any allergic condition *knock on woods* ; however, because she also claims that this moisturizer also help her to avoid acne, blackhead, and whiteheads, I really want to try this moisturizer out of curiosity. Well, that and maybe because I am really curious to try La Roche Posay products, but don’t know where to start.

Lol, due to my lack of research before purchasing this product, I just realized that I supposed to use it as spot treatment, lol! Nevertheless, I use it as night moisturizer for at least 2 months already, and my skin seems fine, no breakouts whatsoever, phew!

As a moisturizer, I feel like this is a really light moisturizer. Meaning, it won’t be enough for you once you hit dryer weather. However, since I live in this humid country that only have 2 seasons, just summer and rainy season, I think this is a perfect moisturizer for normal to oily skin. Particularly, for people that suffered from acne because of its unclogging pores properties. Though I can’t say that it reduces my acne, but I was really positive that this product is one of the reason why the big blackhead that never seem to get out of my nose suddenly popped by itself.

The texture and consistency is really similar to other cream in the markets, however I feel like this is not as greasy as other France pharmacy moisturizers that I’ve tried before, like, say, Bioderma or Avene. And surprisingly, it is enough for my dry skin. My skin won’t feel tight or uncomfortable the morning after I use it. It seeps easily into the skin, and I’ve already use it for morning routine also, and it sits beautifully under makeup.

Even though I can’t judge it to be a miracle for acne sufferer, but I think this product would work for them, especially since I saw a lot of people swear by this product. It simply works in order to reduce my blackhead and whitehead, and I could also see that it would also works wonder for acne. If you have adult acne or problematic skin in general, well, I think this moisturizer is worth to try. First, the price is pretty reasonable, at least it it’s not as expensive as dermatologist treatment.

Also, I reviewed this based on my experience with the French Version only. I heard that the USA version have different ingredients to the French version, so I can’t say much about the USA Version, sorry.

So! Do you ever tried this La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+)? Do ever tried the USA Version? Or do you have La Roche-Posay products that you love and you want to recommend for me? Please do share in the comment section bellow! 😉
