[REVIEW] L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water 3-in-1 For Sensitive Skin

Another newly launched micellar water on my local drugstore, finally come to Indonesia:  L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water 3-in-1 For Sensitive Skin! Well, to be honest it’s not that new, however, considering that it’s still pretty new, well, yeah we’ll leave it at that, lol.

Cleans Dirt and Impurities. Removes Makeup. Hydrates and Soothes.

For normal to dry skin, basic cleansers can strip the skin causing dryness. L’Oréal Micellar Cleansing Water for Normal to Dry Skin removes makeup and completely cleans skin in one step, leaving it feeling hydrated and soothed.

HOW DOES MICELLAR WATER WORK? Powered by micelle molecules that cluster together to surround and lift away impurities and makeup with no rinsing or harsh rubbing.

THE RESULT: Skin is perfectly clean, soothed and hydrated. Dryness is reduced.

With new Micellar Cleansing Water you can be your own makeup desinger, while still respecting your skin!

Saturate a cotton pad.

FOR EYE MAKEUP REMOVAL: Hold pad over closed eyes for a few seconds then gently wipe to remove.

FOR ALL OVER FACE: Gently wipe pad over skin until skin is completely clean.

I have to say, in terms of packaging, I really prefer the design bottle of this L’Oreal one rather than the other brands. Look at the simple branding and the cube shaped packaging! It’s really nice and chic. If I didn’t know that the Bioderma is the OG of the micellar water and the Garnier is the cheapest but the most effective at cleansing, well, I might grab this L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water 3-in-1 For Sensitive Skin and bring it to the cashier.

But, how about the actual performance of the micellar water itself?

Somehow, I always find that with this L’Oreal Paris Micellar Water 3-in-1 For Sensitive Skin, I always need more cotton pads in order to remove my makeup. Meaning: It’s not as effective as the Garnier or the Maybelline one. Well, as you can see above, there are still some residue from the brow mascara that I smeared on my hand even after I repeatedly (approximately 5 times) swipe the cotton pad on the back of my hand.

It couldn’t remove waterproof makeup as well…. So I will still need to remove my Heroine Make Mascara with eye and lip remover first, then start to clean my face with this micellar water. Well, aside of that, I find that this micellar water is pretty much the same in consistency and the “moisturizing” effect that it claim to have. Yes, it didn’t dry out my skin afterwards, but so does other micellar water.

Therefore, my conclusion is, this is an okay product, but no, I won’t repurchase it unless that it’s the only micellar water available in my city. My picks for the best drugstore micellar water is still the same, the Garnier Micellar Water. It’s not that I won’t repurchase Bioderma anymore, but still, it’s much more cost effective, and it’s just works.  If there’s a day when I feel like I want to splurdge, I might have to repurchase the Bioderma one.
