IMG_4189

What a month, what a month. It’s been a while since I am this stressful and restless. But, what a life without challenges, right? We should be grateful for all of the work and challenges that God gave to us. πŸ˜‰ #selfthought #selfmotivation.

And these are the empties that I’ve been went through this August 2017! Without further ado, let’s take a look of the stuff that I managed to finish this month!

Cotton pads, cotton pads, here and there. Yes! I’ve went through lots of cotton pads these months and since cotton pads is one of my beauty essentials, here’s what I thought about them:

1. Muji Cotton Puff

I’ve already reviewed this one a while back, and to be honest, even if it’s not as good of my ultimate favorite Silcot Uru Uru Cotton Pad, I have to say that this is pretty good if you want to save your expensive skin care to last longer because it doesn’t adsorb too much skin care. On the brighter side, it’s not abrasive and pretty cheap also! Definitely will repurchase! This one is probably my second purchase of it, tho πŸ˜‰

2. Muji Cut Cotton Ecru

Though it comes from the same brand, Muji, not to mention all of the raves and best selling labels that it holds, I am sad to say that I’m not into this one. Yes, it’s a soft, fluffy organic natural cotton sheet without any bleach but oh well, it adsorb way too many products into nothingness. So, into the won’t repurchase list it is! 😦

3. Selection Special Facial Cotton ‘Lapis Tipis’

Lapis tipis is Indonesian word for “thin layers”. This is my favorite local brand and very cheap cotton sheet. At only around $1, I got pretty much the same product with Muji Cotton Puff that has 5th time the price. It’s not as good as the Muji Cotton Puff, but if you are on a budget and don’t want to spend too much on cotton pads, it’s a pretty good one that I’ve always repurchase! Ssshh, I even prefer this one over Muji Cut Cotton Ecru!

4. My Beauty Diary Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask

Finally, finally, a sheet mask from My Beauty Diary that works for me! If you already read my full review on it, you would probably know how much I love it! It hydrates my skin really really well and I highly recommend it to everyone especially if you suffered from dehydrated skin and/or have dry skin! But to oily skin fellas, not to worry, hyaluronic acid is a pretty universal ingredients and I’m pretty sure that it would work for normal to oily skin as well! If you think that it would be too heavy for your skin, just use it on night time! Repurchase? Well, I’m glad that I still have 4 backup in my vanity! πŸ˜›

5. Make P:rem Black Cleansing Water

Though it comes with so many claims and supposed to be filled with lots of wonderful ingredients, I have to say that it is not my preferable cleansing water. I still have my heart towards the OG Bioderma Micellar Water H2O. This cleansing water is just too chemically perfumed and too strong in my opinion. Won’t repurchase, definitely, but oh well, I still have another one in my cabinet because I bought it on 1+1 promotion 😦

6. Dr. Jart+ Reset Your Hydration Sheet Mask

One of a few sheet mask from Dr. Jart+ that worked for me. However, though, since I discovered the My Beauty Diary Hyaluronic Acid, I have to say that no, you don’t have to buy this, buy the MBD one instead! πŸ˜› If you insist to buy this one, well, go ahead. It’s a pretty good mask for hydration, though I prefer the MBD one more due to its affordability with similar effect with this Dr. Jart+ one.

7. Banila Co. Miss Flower & Mr. Honey Cream

It’s a sad month, indeed, because I already running out of this beloved Banila Co. Miss Flower & Mr. Honey Cream πŸ˜₯ πŸ˜₯ :'(. I love this cream as night cream, it’s not that heavy, but it locked and moisturize my skin perfectly. It spreads easily even if it has thick consistency and leaves my skin perfectly hydrated and moisturized in the morning. I also love the luxurious and pretty packaging. So far, I’m pretty impressed with Banila Co.’s skin care line and I wish I could try more in the future!

8. Banila Co. Clean It Zero Purity

I forgot if it’s my second or third bottle of thisΒ Banila Co. Clean It Zero Purity,Β but it’s no longer a secret that this is my HG first cleanser! It’s unscented, colorless, with sensitive friendly ingredients that making me keep coming back to this cleansing balm. It’s spread easily into the skin and breaks down makeup easily. Will definitely repurchase this one in the future!
