NYX used to be one of my favorite western drugstore brand because of its affordability and most of times their products are really nice! Their lip product is one of my favorite range from them. And this time around, I want to talk about their NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm
I bought this one at first because Zoella raves about it and I really like how it looks on her lips as I was looking for that kind of shade at that time. Those ashy brown kind of tone. But lo and behold, this Sandstorm shade really looks pale on me. Obviously because of my yellow Asian skin tone is definitely different than Zoella’s western skin tone. Though I’m pretty pale for an Asian, I am around NC 15~20, but your undertone also determine how the colour will looks on you.

Shade wise, this NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm is eeckingly similar with Kat Von D Bow & Arrow in my opinion. As they both makes me looks sick if I wear it on its own, I always wear it with another lip product, most of time with BLP Beauty Butter Fudge or Burnt Cinnamon (Lol, can’t you see that I’m definitely a big fan).
I pretty like the consistency and how it never dry out my lips, though the longevity is just so-so. However, the scent of this NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm really turns me off, though. It smells like those industrial scent that really disturbs me. I’ve never been a big fan of fragrance in skin care, but I’m okay with colour makeup, and NYX should really consider to give this liquid lip a scent so it didn’t drives people crazy.
So, overall, I think this NYX Liquid Suede in Sandstorm is pretty good if you’re looking for an affordable, non-drying liquid lip. But, just not the scent. NYX could really improve of its scent in the future. Will I repurchase it? Well, maybe not since I could find way better liquid lipstick at the same range of price. But, if you want to try it, go ahead, just be careful of the scent, lol.
