[REVIEW] Laneige BB Cushion Whitening

Hello, back with me with another cushion foundation review! This is such a long overdue review, because I must admit that I bought way too many base make up in 2016, and as a person who always hates to wasting up products, I just had to finish some to open up new products to try :”).

Okay, done with the chit-chat. This is one of the newer formulation of Laneige BB Cushion that released in mid-2016. Never been a fan of Laneige Snow BB Cushion, honestly I’ve always hesitates to try another Laneige products, hence the reason why I skipped their second generation of BB Cushion despite the hype. However, when I saw that they reformulated their BB Cushion, adding a wide ranges of shades, and repackaged their packaging, I suddenly become interested again with their products. That, and when Althea had a big sale promotion during the released of this new BB Cushion on their website. So, of course, I just had to buy it! 😆

Shade wise, this Laneige BB Cushion Whitening No. 21 Beige is the perfect shade for me. However, this cushion give one of the most natural finish that I’ve ever found in a foundation. It’s so natural that it barely gives you any coverage within one application. You could definitely layer it up, though, but for me personally, I found it to be rather cakey on my face. I have no problem with this thin coverage, though, since this cushion foundation definitely makes my morning make up application to be more faster and easier.

Even though this cushion foundation gives me barely any coverage, but I love how this cushion foundation didn’t makes my skin dry out and didn’t separated after a whole day. Well, sometimes it does settles into fine lines, but a quick dab and touch up could help that problem easily.

The biggest difference with this cushion foundation and the other one is that this Laneige BB Cushion Whitening had this diamond-shaped cushion that supposedly help to distribute the cushion foundation evenly. And it did exactly what they promised to. This diamond shaped does make the distribution of the bb cushion to be more even and easier.

Compared to the BB Snow one, I feel like this new Laneige BB Cushion to be more easier to blend, and not as drying as the BB Snow one. The major plus point though, how this BB Cushion didn’t break me out. It makes me love this BB Cushion even more because the BB Snow one break me out terribly every time I used it.

So, all in all, I definitely recommend this item to everyone to want to have a sheer finished foundation/bb cream for everyday use. The price is not too steep for a cushion foundation because they give you refill, especially if you compare it to western brand’s cushion foundation. I personally recommend this Laneige BB Cushion Whitening for dry to normal skin. Perhaps, if you have oily skin and want to try it, you can try the Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control one, instead.
