Before I’m gonna jump into the review, let me rant about how disappointed I am with Sherlock’s latest episode AND how the latest and the weakest episode of the series was probably the finale of the series. OHMYGOD. SERIOUSLY?! I have to admit that Series 4 is one of their weakest series in the show—ever (My Sherlockian friend said that it was probably because they already far off from Conan Doyle’s original novels.). But the show have so much potential and one of the strongest ensemble cast and crew, ever. *insert endless crying emoji and mixed emotions emojis here*.
OK. Forgive my randomness.
Let’s jump into the review.

This is probably one of the most raved skin care products in the world of K-Beauty. 80% K-beauty blogger that I followed swears by this particular product. And more than two thirds AB Community that I’ve been stalking loves COSRX as a brand. After hesitating to try this product, I finally gave in (as per usual) and ready to try this hyped up COSRX One Step Pimple Pad.
Personally, I was a bit traumatized to try another exfoliating pads because my previous experience with exfoliating pad was horrible. Not to mention it happened the time when my skin condition was at its weakest point. So, it took me more than a year to convinced my self to try this product.
To my surprise, though, this product is so gentle. If you already used to exfoliating toner and/or exfoliating pads that stings, you would probably surprise as well because this product is barely stings, even in my uber sensitive skin.
So, this pimple pad has two kind of sides, the textured one, which supposedly work to exfoliate your skin, and the smoother one that works as a toner. So many people said that they basically replace their regular toner (both exfoliating and hydrating one) because they feel like this product works well at both.
However, mainly because of my previous experience, I was very cautious and trying hard to avoided another dehydrated issue by using separated hydrating toner(s) and introduce it to my routine by using it only 2-3 times a week for the first month. Because, no matter how “gentle” it is, it’s still an exfoliating products in my dictionary. We’ll never know what would happened if I’m not extra cautious with this one.
Maybe I already told you that my skin always had purging issue especially with new products, and that’s also happened with this product. I barely see that this product was actually gonna work for me for the first month. Therefore, when my father said that he was breaking out all over his face (I’m pretty sure it happened because he loves to rubbed his face with dirty towels at gym, lol), I recommended this product without thinking. He loves it instantly, because it helps to reduce his acnes. I think I need to mention that he don’t have any routines apart from cleansing foam, either, lol, so I’m glad that this product works for him.
To my surprise, when I was breaking out a few weeks ago and decided to use this product once a day, everyday, it works like wonder to reduce the pimples. Thank God! Probably the purging sessions is already done, and my skin start to receive it advantages. I was scared too that this product has tea tree oil on its ingredients list, and I’m pretty sure that I’m allergic to tea tree. However, probably because the tea tree listed as one of the last ingredients in the list, it didn’t affect my skin condition.
Would I repurchase it? Well, of course! In fact, I already have a back up on my vanity ;-). My father loves it and my skin also like it. So, yay to that! And now I’m pretty curious to try another COSRX products, especially their snail products and the hydrating pimple pad!
