Ah, 2016, the year where I testing sooo many new products, which some impressed me, and some didn’t make it to my routine. So, this time around I want to recap my last empties of the year, which is consist a lot of products than usual. Let’s get it start it, shall we? 😀
1.Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in #10
FINALLYYYYYYY after struggling to finish it (lol), I finally emptying this product until the last bit :D. I love this product, although it creased a bit through out the day but I gotta say that this concealer give enough coverage and finish for daily uses. I also love the fact that this concealer is so affordable! However, I’ve got to be honest that I’m a bit bored and I want to try something new. 😆 Read more about it here.
2. Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water
One of the list of product that impressed me the most in 2016. I have to say that when I realized that this bottle was going to be empty, I felt terribly sad, lol, that’s how I love this Bioderma Sensibio so much! 😆 But rest assured, I already bought another bottle and currently using it. 😆 Read more about it here.
3. Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence
This is a product that grown into me gradually. During the first months when I tried it, I said that I had mixed feelings with this sunscreen despite all the raves for this product. However, after I finish it, I realized that my skin already used to it, and somehow I didn’t want to purchase another sunscreen anymore, hence the reason I repurchase it. 😆 This sunscreen lasted me a good 3-4 months, totally worth the price, I would say, because this sunscreen works both as your SPF and primer. Read more about it here.
4. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Clear Lotion
2016 is the year where I slowly compile my Korean style beauty routine; and I have to say that SK-II had a big role for me personally, to make my skin restore its moisture after a chronic dehydration that I had last year. SK-II is surely not an affordable brand. But, if you really wanted to try their products, I suggest asking for samples from the BA or buy the Pitera Essence Set or the Pitera Welcome Kit which consist a few SK-II travel size product that might be a good introduction to your routine if you’re not ready to commit to their hefty prices. I myself never dare to try another product other than their famous Facial Treatment Essence and my holy grail toner, the SK-II Clear Lotion, because I’m afraid if I will fall in love with all of their products . Their products is so expensive I just can’t .
As for their FTE, I would say that even though it’s one of the most expensive essence in the market, a little goes a long way with this product. I finish one pretty bottle of FTE in a 6 months or so. Oh, I just love their limited edition packaging, they are so pretty, and I don’t have the heart to throw it away!!! 😥
In fact, all of their packaging and glass frosted bottles screams luxurious and so pretty.
SKIN CARE DECLUTTER
1.Lush Tea Tree Water
I really really want to love this product, sigh. However, at that time I didn’t realize that I’m allergic to tea tree and nozzle spray products to begin with. If you’re not allergic to both of them, I would say that this is a fairly nice product. The scent is pretty nice and natural (It’s tea tree scent, if I’m not mistaken) for me that’s very sensitive to fragrance. I actually love how hydrating this toner is. However, it’s just not for me.
2. Avène Eau Thermale Spring Water
Sigh, another product that I really want to love because of the raves and all, but I just can’t. I even bought a lot of back ups from Germany last year, since it was very affordable back in Europe rather than here in Asia. However, this product broke me out terribly. For me personally, this is the kind of mist that instead it moisturize your face, it makes your face even more dry, which lead to my dehydrated skin. I don’t know if it’s actually that kind of product or it’s just my allergic speaking, but most of people said that it soothes even the most sensitive skin out there. Well, I don’t know. Perhaps, you should try it by yourself.
3. Laneige Multi Cleanser
Dare I say, this is one of the culprit that lead to my dehydrated skin. I decided to give it a try again last month, and it gave me the similar reaction when I use the Senka Perfect Whip; le whiteheads all over my face. Why did high pH cleansers even exist?! Well, if you’re not sensitive to high-pH cleanser, I would say that this is the higher end version of Etude House Baking Powder Pore Cleansing Foam that I used years ago. They both have similar feels and function, it could remove your makeup as well. However, though, the present me would never suggest to use high-pH cleansers. For me personally, it would be better to use affordable low-pH cleanser like Hada Labo Gokyujun Foaming Facial Wash for example rather than this one.
