Ever since I’ve dwelve into this wonderful
and expensive world that is skin care; I realize that the littlest thing that you put onto your face is paying some contribution to your skin condition. So, a serum is not just a serum, a moisturizer is not just a moisturizer and so on. You see, even the simplest thing such as a face cleanser could be more essential than you think. There are lots of options in the market, but you definitely want to choose something with low pH, filled with good ingredients, and preferably with cheaper price because a face cleanser is something that you will finish quickly, because you use it every single day, two times per day at minimum.
That is why Hada Labo Gokyujun Foaming Cleanser is my safe choice, my ultimate holy grail; something that I’ve always come back to, when it comes to face cleanser.
But, seriously, as someone who followed tons of beauty bloggers in Instagram, Blogs, and YouTube; of course I would be intrigued to try highly raved beauty products every single day, and this SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick is one of them.
SU:M37 is one of Korean skin care brand that I’ve always wanted to try along with Hanyul, Sulwhasoo, and The History of Whoo. It’s a department store brand in Korea if I’m not wrong. It’s a brand under LG Household & Health Care, which also the mother company of VDL, The Face Shop, BEYOND, and belif, and one of Amore Pacific’s biggest rival in Korean beauty industry. So, if The History if Whoo is LG’s equivalent to Amore Pacific’s Sulwhasoo, I’m guessing that SU:M37 is their equivalent to Amore Pacific’s Hanyul.
One of Korean Beauty Vloggers that I adore, Meejmuse is one of SU:M37‘s biggest fan, and this particular product is something that she recommends ages ago. This SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick apparently is a big hit in Korea last year and it was sold out almost everywhere. At first I was convincing myself that I don’t need this expensive cleanser, as per usual . But after I saw that all of my favorite beauty bloggers raved about this product, I finally cave in and made my purchase few months ago.
From Soko Glam:
This cleansing stick is a favorite for all the right reasons. The unique solid form in a twist-up tube gives you tons of washes in one stick and makes this the perfect cleanser to travel with or stick in your gym bag. The advanced formula has a delicate lather that will melt away daily impurities naturally. With over 90% natural ingredients, you’ll find bits of rose petals in the stick as evidence, plus fermented damask rose extract which has a lovely natural floral scent. This cleanser hydrates without leaving any residue behind with its gentle formula. Free from artificial colors, parabens, and synthetic preservatives, this is recommended for all skin types, even sensitive.
This cleanser was one of our 2014 Beauty Award Winners and it was featured on The Today Show.
Ingredients: Glycerol, Water, Orange Peel Oil, Lime Peel Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Green Tea Seed Oil, Coconut Oil, Basil Oil, Ylang Ylang Flower Oil, Majoram Oil, Fermented Damask Rose Extract, Apricot Seed Oil, Olive OIl, Sunflower Oil, Betaine, Stearic Acid, Lauric Acid, Camellia Oil, Tocopheral, Rose Flower Water, Potassium Hydroxide, Lauryl Betaine
This is such a beautiful cleanser, literally and figuratively. From the packaging alone, it has chic, simple, and classic design which I really love. And in the inside, ooooh, this SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick has rose petals inside. So, so pretty, and it makes the whole cleansing process makes more luxurious in my opinion.
It has this subtle rose scent which I didn’t really mind because usually I hate rose scented products, and lathers up quite nicely. I prefer to use it in the morning because it’s perfect as a gentle day time cleanser, although it works well as a night time second cleanser, too. It might be just in my imagination, but every time I cleanse my face with this cleanser, I feel like my skin care adsorbs better.
To put it simply, it is just a bar soap in a stick form, it is definitely one of the most travel friendly cleansing products that you want to keep in your pouch if you travel a lot. However, you have to be very careful because this product took up such a long time to dry up, especially when you use it day and night continuously. The top part could get soften and soggy. Maybe you could use it the way Paris do, to use it on dry skin. It might work, but I personally never tried it before.
So, all in all I will give this product 4.5/5. It’s a lovely gentle cleanser that never strip my sensitive skin. Smells lovely, almost a hassle free product. The only downside is the price (albeit not as expensive as Sunday Riley, but still) and the sogginess if you use it on wet skin. Repurchase? Maybe someday, I’m still a bit hesitant because of the price . As for now, I will enjoy it a little by little as my morning cleanser. ❤
