If I had to choose my favorite drugstore brand, maybe it would be Bourjois. Well, yes, maybe a lot of their products are pricier than another brand in the drugstore, but a lot of their products works pretty well for me. I love love love one of their best selling foundation, I practically use their liquid liners every single day before I’ve dive in into the amazingness that is Japanese eyeliner (and still is, sometimes), I use their eyeshadow almost everyday, and their nude shade liquid lips is used to be one of my holy grail MLBB lipstick.
So, when the BA offer this Nude Sensation Foundation when the item that I asked was sold out; I instantly purchase it right away (lol). So much faith in the brand, I might say? 😆
The product itself have this mousse texture that I’m not really used to. I’m afraid that it would go cakey by itself, especially when I had dry skin. So, I decided to pair it up with Etude House’s Beauty Shot Face Blur that I had for a while to liquify it.
I surprisingly like the result of the mixture of Bourjois Nude Sensation and Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur. Lately, I’m really into low coverage foundation that will make my skin looked like skin. So, I’m really digging it. The Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur help to brighten up my complexion, as you can see in the picture above. But, the duo won’t help you to cover up anything. It’s just make your skin looked…. better? It’s really weird I know, but in a way, I believe that this is the finish that I prefer for everyday natural look.
By itself, I think the finish of the foundation would be mattifying. So, if you have dry skin, you probably need to pair it up with face oil, moisturizing primer, or maybe moisturizer to prevent the overly matte finish.
When I opened up the product, I think that I would finish it quickly because as you can see, the size of the tube is not that big. But, after I purchase it in…. around April or May; I still haven’t finish it, lol. Maybe because I combine it with Etude House Face Blur, I don’t really need to take much product.
Will I repurchase it? Hmmm, I don’t know. I seriously have gazillion of base product waiting for me to try right know . And I want to try another foundations from other brands in the future, so yeah, someday, maybe.
I like it, yes, but it’s not a holy grail material for me.
