[REVIEW] Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask

Nowadays I wonder, how long it usually takes you to decided that a certain product is your holy-grail-ride-and-die product? Because nowadays upon trying out new products, there are two or three of them that I makes me immediately think, “OHMYGOD, This is the one!!!”  within my first try (Sign of a good choices of products upon purchases, eh?) and this Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is one of them.

If you read my Nuxe Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm Rêve de Miel review, you’ll probably notice that nowadays I’m not into beeswax based lip balm anymore. It’s just my personal preferences, not that I am nitpicking or something. I will still finish it though because it’s not exactly the cheapest lip products in the market, lol. But, you know, I prefer the cream-or-lotion like lip care products that feels instantly works on my lips, not just sitting on top of it (which is somehow I feel like beeswax based products sometimes kinda do).

And this product passed in terms of texture, scent, and boy, with this product, a little goes a long the way! I’ll probably finish it in a year or something because the jar is quite big for a lip care product.  The texture is similar with their regular Water Sleeping Mask, gel like, watery, but upon contact with your lips, it melts right away! You actually could feel that it works without actually making your lips feels greasy. And it smells like berry sorbet, it’s sooo divine, especially because I don’t like if a lip care product smells and taste like vegetable oil; it feels like I’m eating some fatty and oily food. 😆

After I’m waking up I really like that my lips feels moisturized without excess “greasiness” that another lip products often gave me. I also like to use it thinly before my make up as a lip balm. I have to blot my lips before lipstick or liquid lipstick application, though, but I don’t really mind because I’m loving this Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask that much. 😀

I really like the spatula too! Although I’m sorry it’s not in the photo because I stupidly forgot to include it. When I see the advertisement, I thought it will be like those shabby-spongy-crappy-eyeshadow-applicator, but I’m surprised that the spatula made by something like elastic plastic that feels nice on the lips, perfect for lip mask application, and easy to clean also!

I give this product 4.9/5 because I truly love this Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask!!! It was a love in a first swipe . Definitely on my Holy Grail list. I will definitely repurchase this after I finish it! I would recommend this to EVERYONE that want to treat their lips, especially the ones that always have dry-as-sahara lips like me! But really, this is such a great product, worth the money; and if you know me well, you would know that I’m rarely raved about a product, and this lip mask is definitely worth the hype!!!
