If you follow lots of beauty bloggers, especially the one that mad about western skin care, I bet they had this NUXE Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm Rêve de Miel on their skin care regime. Or at least mention about it. NUXE is a med-high skin care brand from France and I believe that this particular lip balm is their best-selling ones.
Effortlessly smooth and soft lips are a must for the Parisian woman on the go. Make this ultra-nourishing and repairing lip balm one of your own purse essentials – it shows no mercy to dry and damaged lips thanks to its delicious honey and precious oils.
Apply ultra-nourishing lip balm to your lips and lip contour 2 to 3 times a day. For even more kissable lips, apply a thick layer overnight to allow it to work its intense repair magic. Its matte texture also makes it a perfect base for lipstick, offering natural sophistication in an instant. And as Parisian women love a product that offers multi-purpose benefits, they also know this balm is great for nourishing dry cuticles too.

After a really long time not dealing with beeswax based lip balm in a pot, I have a mixed feelings towards this particular lip balm. First and foremost: it reminds me of the regular vaseline but with overpriced price tag . But, I could feel the infusion of natural oils in the lip balm, I notice the citrusy scent from citric acid and the main ingredient from the NUXE Rêve de Miel line, honey.
It glides like vaseline, not offer a really smooth application in the lips in my opinion, but still it moisturizing the lips pretty well. I usually tap-tap it lightly on my lips to avoid excessive application on the lips.
However, I’m kinda disappointed because I have such a high expectation to this particular lip balm. After so many reviews and claims that it give you long lasting moisturizing in your lips, sadly it didn’t happened to me. Like, at all. The longevity is like regular lip balm in general on me. And it makes liquid lipstick application rather patchy, too. :-(. I have to blotted it a few times before I apply liquid lipstick, while it didn’t happened to another cheapo lip balm like, say, Nivea Lip Butter.
So, all in all I give this NUXE Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm Rêve de Miel a 3/5. I appreciate the large size of it (it could last a year, I guess), the fancy frosted jar packaging, and the infusion of lots of natural oils despite my “meh” experience with the lip balm. Well, maybe it happened because my dry as sahara lips or maybe it’s just my personal preference because I didn’t prefer beeswax formula in a lip balm anymore.
